Ideal

Take a hardcover book with a spine measuring approximately 3/4 to 1 inch (2–2.5 cm) thick.
Stand barefoot with your back against a wall.
Place the spine of the book firmly against your crotch, raising it until it feels snug but not painful.
Measure the distance from the floor to the top edge of the book's spine.
Repeat the measurement three times to ensure accuracy and consistency.

Alternative

Take your favorite pair of pants that fit perfectly in length and just touch the floor when you're standing.
Lay the pants flat on a smooth surface.
Measure the inseam as shown in the guide, from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg.
Repeat the measurement to double-check for accuracy and ensure consistent results.
